One of the things most visitors to Winnipeg never see is the absolute brilliance of the older section of the city. This brick and mortar landscape is literally unchallenged elsewhere in the country for displaying the paradigm shift in city design. A visit to Winnipeg has to have two things for me - rain and hours spent walking dark back alleys.
