One of the sites I stumbled across with my friend Jill in Prince Rupert
was the elementary school that she attended as a girl. This place was
the focus of my next day's walkabout and I found a space designed with
such intent and purpose for education lying completely abandoned and without
voice.
This piece of graffiti spoke to the tone of the leftover bits, forgotten
and left to die, the resulting aftermath of discovering asbestos in the
facility. There was an absolute sense of depair left here, the hope that
everything would be achieved dashed hard along the rocky stretch of progress.
