I woke up one day to my apartment filling with a terrible, black smoke. Jumping up and grabbing my camera, I left the house and found several people fighting this fire with garden hoses. No less than ten minutes later, the roof burst into flame and gutted the interior. This was taken just as the second fire crew arrived. No one was hurt, although several people had been sleeping in the house at the time of the fire.
