Paul Berard Photography: Home

I was hammering around the downtown core Vancouver back in 2001 and the first in a batch of heavy spring rains was falling. To make this shot happen, I stood on a concrete pillar along the side of the Justice Institute, soaked head to toe, and leaned out on one foot. The box-like structure in the background is the Vancouver Art Gallery, formerly City Hall on Robson.

I can love this shot because it's a) stellar and b) I did not die getting it. ;) Big plus, that.
